AMERICA REMEMBERS 9.11
And don't ever forget the cause;
The evil men with dire resolve
the World would have us now absolve:
The Taliban in Afghanistan,
Al-Queada's web spread like a fan.
Born in palaces jeweled and grand,
And yet portrayed as ragged men,
Whose cause is pure, and outrage just,
Disguising, crudely, violent lust.
They murder leagues of innocents,
Encouraged by our reticence
To engage them on their terms.
But by the grace of the one true God,
We exploded en masse upon their sod
And answered if our resolve was firm.
My children, and grandchildren,
My sisters and brothers,
Cousins, and in-laws
And all American others,
Forget not, evil has strong allies
Who give no pause to utter lies
To hide their true intent.
Let’s bind this fact to unfailing hearts
Ne'er again to fall prey to destructive arts.
Unflagging, continue paying them back;
Crying with everlasting assent,
“In Afghanistan, as it is in Iraq!”
